The group meets on the last friday of each month from September to May. Each month we will have a film or talk then as long as its clear go outside and use some of the members telescopes to show you around the night sky.
We start at 7pm then the main talk starts at 7.30pm in the classroom and costs £1.50 per person which is reinvested into future programmes.
You can bring your own telescope or binoculars and join in, suited to beginners or the advanced and we are always welcoming new people who have an interest in the night sky!
We meet at Rosliston Forestry Centre which is off the Burton Road, click here for more information and how to get there. We always welcome anyone to join the meetings and use the telescopes if any are available. After the main film or talk there are refreshments and activities for the kids then its off outside, weather permitting, for a look around at whats currently in the sky from planets to globular clusters.
